Want to live in a comfortable and inspiring environment with all the amenities you need as a digital nomad (family or not) or slow traveller?
Joining our community of colivers can be a way to explore new cultures, learn from others, and create unforgettable memories while getting your work done.
At iSlow we enjoy the simple things in life, like connecting with others and being present in the moment. In today’s fast-paced world, it can be challenging to slow down, but let’s try together.
During lunch breaks, take the time to learn how to cook using fresh, local, seasonal, and sustainable ingredients. Enjoy meals together, take a walk, or spend quality time with your kids. Let’s support each other in reconnecting and making the most of each moment.
Want to explore the world of coliving with us? We are happy to share our way of life.
Coliving of different flavours
We understand that traveling alone can sometimes feel isolating, but that’s where coliving comes in.
At iSlow we’ve created a welcoming and inclusive environment where solo travelers can feel at home.
A life lived more slowly, with space to enjoy working hours just as much as leisure time, is certainly possible. In Laxe this life becomes a reality.
The Slow movement originated in Italy in the 1980s and advocated a cultural shift toward slowing down life’s pace. It’s about quality over quantity in everything from work to food to parenting. This philosophy has influenced our approach to work, travel and to life in general. At iSlow it’s not about doing everything at a snails pace. It’s about seeking to do everything at the right speed.
At iSlow we aim to be masters of our time, want to focus more on our personal and social well-being and environmental sustainability. We consume locally and support those around us. It is this way of life we like to share with you.
The Slow Food philosophy puts emphasis on the origin of its produce, the preparation of traditional meals and the satisfaction of sitting down to share it with others. These are values that connect us to our traditions. Galicians were “slow” long before we even knew about slow food.
In Galicia, gastronomy is the common thread. Food brings us together around a table to share moments with family and friends. At iSlow, we advocate for a slow pace when it comes to food. We avoid rushing and try to be conscious about the products we consume. We are committed to the local, sustainable and healthy. Luckily we live in an environment surrounded by small producers and local farmers who take great care of their produce. Fresh fish and seafood are landed every morning in the harbour at Laxe, just 1 km away.
