Big news for digital nomads and slow travellers who are passionate about rural life! ISlow, your coliving space in A Costa da Morte will open its doors this Autumn.
ISlow is located in the old family house. A traditional stone construction, more than 115 years old, was inherited from our great-grandfather Severino.
Currently, it is under reconstruction to offer work and shared spaces to digital nomads and slow travellers who wish to experience life in rural Galicia.
Coworking and coliving in rural Galicia.
Do you have any projects in mind? Have you ever thought how great it would be to live in a place with people who can understand your goals? People to help you validate your ideas and with whom to share your passions?
People who, like you, value their well-being and balance between their work and leisure; people to enjoy cooking with, hang out surrounded by nature and create meaningful connections.
At ISlow, we will provide the space for our colivers to connect with professionals from all kinds of disciplines, create synergies and establish collaborations.
ISlow will also be a meeting point for people who are passionate about rural development to propose initiatives, integrate into the local community and contribute with their experiences.
Life as a entrepreneur family
We are Inés, Julio, Lois and Amelie, a family with Celtic roots. In 2020 we returned from Milton Keynes (UK) where we lived for more than 10 years until one day we felt the call back home, and we returned full of ideas.
We wanted to give our children roots and be close to the people we love, and also undertake a project that supports the needs of our environment.
To be an open door to a booming work style, in which digitization allows mobility and, where digital nomads seek to stop at sustainable and quality initiatives. ISlow aims to be a space where you can create connections while getting to know A Costa da Morte first hand.
Nutrition and wellness have always been our great passions and, since we became a family, the search for balance between all facets of life has become a fundamental value.
We grew up in this area, and we know its strengths: wild nature free of artifice, immense sands without crowds, waters with strong waves that challenge the most experienced surfer, unique trails that almost always end in a lighthouse, etc.
We value the absence of traffic noise, clean air, that children can be in contact with nature (getting muddy, rolling in the dunes …).
And, of course, our people, that quiet lifestyle, with the door always open to the neighbour, long after-meals and leisurely dessert conversations or naps on long summer days.
A full life is a slow life.
We value our traditions, gastronomy and lifestyle, linking them to popular concepts such as the slow movement and, in particular, slow food. We are learning the unlearned to return to the really slow customs. We will do our best to contribute: consume sustainable products, work local businesses, organise hiking routes with guides from the area…
At ISlow we believe that contributing to rural development is being a community, creating local networks and consolidating them, valuing what we have here and showing it with pride to anyone who wants to come and visit us.
